Diversity Reflection
I was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and pursued my college degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I have always imagined myself becoming a teacher and having my own classroom to instill a love of learning in my students. I come from a long lineage of teachers that includes both of my parents, grandfather, aunts, and extended family. Throughout growing up, I enjoyed going to the schools my parents taught at to help in their classrooms. It was exciting and inspiring to witness how they had developed positive relationships with the students they were teaching. As a future educator, I hope to leave the same positive and lasting impression on my students.
I have been involved in the world of sports since a young age and it continues to be one of my passions. Whether I was involved in gymnastics, swimming, volleyball or softball, I loved every second of it. I have always known that my career path would involve sports, activity, and children.

I want my students to learn that if you set goals for yourself and hold yourself accountable for those goals, anything is possible. I want my students to learn to persevere despite obstacles, feel comfortable in attempting new skills that might be out of their comfort zones, and understand the importance of overall well-being (physically, emotionally, socially). Most importantly, I want my students to always feel appreciated and welcome in my classroom. I believe that the first step to becoming a successful teacher is building positive relationships with students. I am looking forward to my student teaching experiences and receiving positive feedback, constructive criticism, and gaining experiences that will allow me to be a successful physical education
