A Career as A Teacher

“Teaching is often a difficult process, but the end result is very rewarding. Watching a child develop confidence and seeing a student progress in their studies is a very exciting process. Teaching young children is especially great because it is setting a foundation for life-long learning.”(Chronicle guidance publications). What is teaching? A teacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children), or students (adults) using lectures, audiovisual aids, demonstrations, and computers to present academic, social, and motor skills. Teachers can also teach foreign languages, art, kids with special needs, and P.E. Teaching has changed a lot compared to the traditional methods of just lectures and textbooks. Students now are encouraged to actively learn through groups or individual projects. They have learning games, debates, and experiments to help them through the learning process. Being a teacher would be a great career for anyone who wants to further themselves, to help people, and to have great benefits (chronicle guidance publications).

Future teachers will all have to reach a certain level of education and certification. Educational requirements can vary greatly depending on the state, but all states require completion of an approved teacher training program and a bachelor’s degree. Many states may require a minimal GPA and additional technology training including, a set number of education and subject credits. A small number of sates necessitate a master’s degree taking up to two years more of schooling than a bachelor’s degree. Other requirements could be student teaching which a lot of colleges offer. ...her. I think I would be a good teacher at any level because I feel I have a very analytical mind and I like to figure out how people think and get the best out of them. I enjoy when teachers make learning fun and I know I can be an affective teacher while making learning fun for all students. I must admit the summer off is very appealing although I know teachers put in many after hours during the school year. I feel I can be a positive influence to the students that come into my classroom. One of my most memorable times in my school life was when I was in Mrs. Husted’s class. I didn’t do any homework, didn’t make good grades, and wasn’t very well behaved in her class. Despite all the challenges, I through her way she always helped me and encouraged me and made me do the work I was responsible for. That’s why I want to be a teacher to help students that were like me.
