There is always a big conflict between which is better, the book or the movie. In my own opinion the book is usually better because of the amount of detail the author can put into it. Movies usually are not able to put all of the details in it because of the time issue. The thing that makes books so good is the intricate detail to the small things. Books almost always have a backstory to things, but in movies they have to get straight to the point to make it only about two hours. That character did not appear in the movie and that is something they should have included because it shows how much danger the initiates were in. It also gets the audience more into the movie and grabs their attention. Between the book and the movie, the relationships can be different. In the movie, the characters Christina and Will have a romantic relationship between the two of them but in the movie, they are just close friends. The book just has more time to build up to those kind of relationships while movies have to get to the point and focus on the bigger plot of the story so they do not grab the audience as much as the book might.
