I had very little skills but I was willing to learn. Management saw my eagerness to learn and allowed me to advance within the company as soon as management slots became vacant. At the age of 18, I was the youngest manager to be employed at the organization. During the interview and orientation as a new manager, the GM specifically told me some of the reasons why I got promoted. These reasons included; my willingness to learn, being a social employee, my confidence as I became more mature, and the unorthodox personality of learning and having fun while doing it.
