I always felt that Pharmacy is the field that would give me the practical skills to acquire knowledge and get a high standard education.
In my secondary school days, I quickly realised that my favorite subjects are science based and I particularly enjoyed the laboratory practicals. Out of all the science subjects, Chemistry and Mathematics are my favourite. My passion for these two subjects started straight from primary school when we were taught some science and calculations. Chemistry and Mathematics have given me the practical and analytical skills needed to do pharmacy. In Chemistry, am able to carry out experiments which include salt analysis and titration where I use accuracy and attention to detail skills while in Mathematics have learnt various statistical methods which I know will improve my career as a pharmacist. Growing up in a business oriented family has made me have passion for work. I am currently working at Ark Promotion Organisation as a sales assistant, which is giving me the opportunity to excel in my communication skills, team working and organisational skills. Moreover, I look forward to working in a local pharmacy.
I love science related courses most especially when health is involved. What made pharmacy a personal interest is that I love to help people get well and just do not like to see people in pain. My childhood ambition was to become a medical doctor, a person who can help people get well. I later realised that my practical skills will be more useful in the pharmacy field than that of the medicine. Since then I have nurtured it in my heart to be a pharmacist.
