Becoming a successful Registered Nurse is not as easy as it sounds. There is a lot of studying late nights, lots of tests, and quizzes, and just stress period. One main thing to becoming a great nurse is having the tendency not to procrastinate, which in the nursing field could lead to devastating results. You could procrastinate when it comes to checking a person’s vital signs, such as blood pressure. A person could have a stroke right before your eyes, and it may have could have been prevented if that person’s vital signs had been checked when they were supposed to. You could procrastinate and take your time to give someone their pain medication. You could prevent someone from being in agonizing pain if you were to give them their medicine in a timely fashion. …show more content…

You work very long hours, you are under supervision, as well as supervising those up under you. Getting adequate amounts of sleep on your off days is essential for living a stress free life.
No matter what challenges a person may face over their career as a nurse, a person’s will power and mindset on how to handle the situation determines how strong or weak a person is. Learning how to be a strong nurse starts in school, with that person as a student, his or her peers, their educators, and what they are teaching their students.
