What is the autism spectrum disorder? According to the article, "Autism Awareness for
First Responders," autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a specific diagnosis for children with special needs that requires in-depth consideration because the social and behavioral challenges these children demonstrate put them at increased risk for injury and abuse (Lutman, 2017). The first neurotransmitter system that is associated with autism spectrum disorder, is the GABA system.

With too much or too little serotonin, there is a possibility of heightened anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. The second neurotransmitter system that is associated with autism spectrum disorder is dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is responsible for the motivation and rewards/pleasure for an individual. High levels of dopamine in an individual on the autism spectrum can cause sensory perception issues, which can cause an overload on the brain for those individuals.
The symptomology of autism spectrum disorder is as follows. The first symptom is difficulty in sharing feelings and thoughts. This symptom relates more to the dopamine neurotransmitter in the sense that an individual who lacks or has too much dopamine will have difficulty relaying information to other people. This can lead to a lack of social interaction and difficulty making new friends. A few more symptoms are insistence on sameness, in- flexible adherence to routines, or ritualized patterns or verbal nonverbal behavior (e.g., extreme distress at small changes, difficulties with transitions, rigid thinking patterns, greeting rituals, need to

Another relation is between the neurotransmitter serotonin and the symptom of social withdrawal, an individual with low levels of serotonin will not be able to function around other people, which could cause depression. In social withdrawal, an individual with ASD will not be able to recognize people because of the symptom of making little or no eye contact with other people.
The behavior of individuals with autism spectrum disorder will be different. The thing about autism spectrum disorder is that not every individual will exhibit the same 9 or 10 symptoms. One individual might exhibit the behavior of becoming upset by the slightest of changes in their daily routine, while another individual on the spectrum will not, but will have behaviors that are unusual, such as repeating things. These behaviors are all related to the anatomic changes in the brain of an individual with ASD. If an individual has ASD, they
