Many students out of high school take the next step in extending their education by attending college. How they choose the right school is one of the most burdening decisions in the secondary education process. Before going to college, one must start the process to figure out their interests and where it can take them. Once this has been determined, a student can start the application process to colleges that will assure success. Unfortunately, many parents of young adults impose limitations to their choices. For example, a student might be forced to go to the school their parents attended, or the school the parents have in mind provides the best environment and curriculum for their child. But if going to this school does not benefit the student from going into their planned major, why go to this school? Going to the right school allows students to be able to meet their degree requirements earlier in their college careers. With this, students may find themselves obtaining two college majors, a minor or a certificate that may help them later in their careers. Knowing the school is well accredited for their education and working environment makes paying for college valuable and worth the time, money and effort. Also, most employers prefer to hire job applicants who have gained their education from a college with the appropriate accreditation status. They also look for employees who have been educated at an appropriately accredited school when making decisions about their business (WorldWideLearn). If a high school student wants to go to college, but does not know what they want to go into exactly, they have the choice of going to college with an undecided major. During the first two years of college opens up convenience for students to consider and explore potential career path. Also, during this time is where they will get the general education courses done, giving them more time to explore course options. Having a variety of majors gives students the opportunity to search for the right career path for their future and give them the chance to change to the right
