A song that I like is called, “Am I Wrong” by, Nico and Vinz. I first listened to the song in my family's car. My sister had control over the radio that day, and sooner or later, the song came up. I instantly liked the song as soon as the chorus started, but at the time it was just because of the rhythm. Overtime I learned the lyrics and I loved the song even more.
In my way of seeing it, this song portrays someone who has an interest, or something that he believes in, but the people around him don't accept this. “Am I wrong, for thinking out the box from where I stay? Am I wrong for saying that I'll choose another way” (the beginning of the song). I think this song is about trying to standing up for someone with different ideals and career paths that the people closest to them don't accept.

Those choices include being president, an engineer (because of the superhero, Iron Man), a scientist ,etc. yet after a while, I lost interest in all those. Even now, I never wanted to have a conventional job. Probably because I don't want the rest of my life to be a simple and similar routine every day. The thing is though, my family supports me, but they think I should go with another option. They may think this is another wacky idea that will fade away in time. There was a vocal recital on October 19th, 2017 at 7:30PM, held at the performance hall in Mountain view college. Alex Longnecker, a tenor vocalist and Imre Patkai, (pianist) played a series of homophonic textured songs, some being sung in German and others in English. The Three selected songs I will be writing about are, The Lincolnshire Poacher, The Plough Boy, and Im Wunderschonen Monat Mai. This performance played a total of 24 Pieces, composed by 4 composers, being Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ernest Chausson, Benjamin Britten, and Robert Schumann.
American Beauty/American Psycho was an album that was sung by the band Fall Out Boy in 2015. Fall Out Boy is an alternative/indie rock band with a little hint of pop in some of their songs. This album, which is the band’s most recent album, is full of a lot of good songs and songs that maybe some people wouldn’t like. Fall Out Boy is a face-paced band, which means their songs are faced-paced. A lot of their songs could be a little hard to understand for people who don’t listen to this kind of music. The album does not have many of these types of songs, which is why it is a favorite among Fall Out Boy fans.

For example the song states “Winter is here again oh Lord, haven't been home a year or more,” wich shows that something had happened which caused him to leave home. Also the song states that “I've been runnin' down this dusty road, I've been trying to make it home,”which shows that he was doing everything in his power to make it back home but despite his efforts he is unable to make it home. Finally he states that “Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin'I don't know where I'll be tomorrow,” which means that things are constantly changing and at any point it could cause him to relocate.

If I were to ask you to think of one song that truly was your quintessence, I am sure that you can think of one right away. How to Save a Life by The Fray would be the song that represents me. This song really speaks to me because it deals with a major issue in my life. I have dealt with depression for many years. I have always felt a deep inadequacy for all of my accomplishments. Always hearing that I have no reason to be depressed made me feel even worse. In the recent years I have found ways to deal with my own depression, while also trying to help others with the same problems. Having someone to talk to and praying have been my two saving graces. I argue that it does not take a clinical physiologist to save someone from depression. Anyone can be a cure to depression as depicted in the song.
Everyone at one point has to make a decision on what they want to be when they grow up. For me, that decision came rather unexpectedly and was a result of a new found interest due to self-discovery. It all began when I was around the age of 8 and I watched a documentary on aircraft. It documented all about planes, how they work and the science behind them. I was immediately captivated and gaining all that information as a young child really hit the spot in terms of a new found passion and interest that I could see myself later using. This passion stuck with me ever since as I have spent tons of spare time studying different types of aircraft and collecting model planes. It ultimately helped me with my answer to the question of what I wanted to be when I grew up as being an aeronautical engineer. It is not a career most would pursue, but it shows how self-discovery impacted me at a very young age and the impact is so log lasting that it has influenced most of the decision I make now in terms of courses I take at school and the extracurricular activities I am a part of. One of my favorite songs of all time would have to be Troubadour by George Strait. This has always been one of my favorite songs I would always listen to it when I was a little kid even. I believe this song has always appealed so much to me because George strait is one of my favorite artists for artists and second because I liked the tune of the song and the way that it sounded. The last couple of years when I have listened to the song it has kind of took on a whole other meaning to me. Now I listen to the song and I really appreciate it.

Filmmaking is that job for me. Though it is hard and filled with literal blood sweat and tears, it is one of the most rewarding jobs a person can have. You put all of your passion into a project that starts on paper and ends on giant screen for the world to see. You make content that people talk about for days and watch over and over again. To be that successful would be a dream come true. To be apart of films that help someone, that entertain a child’s imagination, brings someone to tears, and makes someone laugh is all I want to do. If I can do that as a career, then I will not work a day in my life. I don't know where I am going to go from here but I know I have the skills to be a good filmmaker and the passion to push forward.
