Video Game Addictions
People who are addicted to video games should be treated before the addiction becomes crucial- a matter of life and death. Players who aren 't disciplined become quickly addicted to video games because of the time spent playing. People who play video games are physical, emotional, and mentally unhealthy. Video games can destroy a person’s life. Given these points, if someone is playing a video game, then they should not let video games take over a person’s life.

People can become fatigued when they spend long hours playing video games. Video games can cause migraines because of too much concentration. Individuals who play video games can have a poor personal hygiene (“Video Game Addiction Symptoms, Causes, and Effects”). People might get carpal tunnel syndrome when they play video games on a computer. It causes the main nerve of the hand and forearm to press. Video game players can have sleep disturbances (“How Video Game Addiction Treatment Centers Can Help Compulsive Gamers.”). They don’t get enough sleep because of not wanting to stop playing the video game. When a person spends long hours of sitting in the same position on a computer, they might get chronic back problems. Gamers might have eating irregularities because they would most likely eat food that is quick and unhealthy. The worst part is when a player chooses not to eat at all. People become isolated from other people because they want to spend more time playing video games. Gamers feel restless when they can’t play. They only think about the games that they have played or will still continue to play. Players would typically lie to their parents or friends about the amount of time spent playing video games (“How Video Game Addiction Treatment Centers Can Help Compulsive Gamers.”). Gamers have died or killed people from being addicted to video games. Players have died from playing video
A student from Beijing lost in the game of World of Warcraft. In his mind, he “became” a fire mage and set one of his classmates on fire. A man from South Korea collapsed and died after playing StarCraft for fifty hours. Another student from China left a suicide note that he was going to join the character of the game he worshiped. After the student had finished playing the game of World of Warcraft for an about two days, straight he jumped off a tall building. His parents are upset and are now suing the distributors of the game for $12,500. A South Korean girl died because of neglect from her parents who loved playing more than taking care of her. Her parents left to play Prius for twelve hours at a café. They left their child unattended, and when they arrived, they found her dead. Another person left his twins in the bathtub while he was playing on his Gameboy Advance. He is now in prison for ten years because of involuntary manslaughter. In Vietnam, a young teenage boy was arrested after he murdered and robbed a senior citizen for money. The boy told the police that he stole money from the women to pay for items in his online game
