Starry Night Analysis

The Starry Night, one of Vincent van Gogh famous paintings that I like a lot about. Though this is a famous piece of art, it is still one of my favorite pieces myself. I think of it being awesome with how he captures the starts with the vortex kind of motion along with the moon for that manner. I like how it is all curving lines and how you kind of make it look like the sky is kind of moving on its own. This mostly is because of the curving lines. I love how he has the spire that still has curving lines going up through it and how it is the darkest object in the whole painting. But the problem is that now a days we don’t exactly get to enjoy the beauty of the night sky. Mostly because of us living in a city and it isn’t dark enough in order to see. Plus most of us just don’t look up in general. The painting makes the night sky a lot more beautiful then what it is in the real life. Nature is a hard thing to capture when drawing it or when painting it like this, but he did it. Though it is kind of abstract art a tad, it is still pretty good. The painting makes me calm and steady with it being kind of serene. It makes me want to kind of go outside a bit and check out the night sky myself. It fascinates me with what I have been missing with how the night sky could be. The reason I think this because of its smoothness and how it just flows from one side to the next. It really does make me feel calm and with the spire just flowing up as well with it. With the hills also kind of flowing from the bottom of them to the top of them. Plus I see plains to the left and how they look like they are moving towards the right of the painting. Though I find it very interesting that I see a church in the middle of the whole painting. I see that there is a lot of space in the middle where the swirl is in the middle. It is good because it gives us more of a feel of how it is the vast sky with all the stars in
