Arguably, nuclear energy is one of the controversial issues in the world today. Many countries have begun focusing on nuclear energy programs. In fact, nuclear energy is under consideration in many countries in the Middle East. It is worth noting that nuclear energy has both positive and negative impacts to the society and the environment. There is a serious lobby in the world that pushes for the new energy creation. Other scholars assert that allowing countries in the Middle East to produce nuclear energy is very dangerous to the environment. The consumption of global energy is expected to increase tremendously by the year 2020. The developing countries, which include countries in the Middle East will account for this sort of demand. As the cost of energy increase countries in the world are looking for various ways to increase energy sources and reduce costs. The nuclear energy forums held in the Middle East tend to discuss on various feature of making nuclear energy an option. The countries in the Middle East are ambitious of the future and would want to focus more on nuclear energy. Those individuals who are cautious of environmental issues are very concerned on the issue of nuclear energy, and assert that countries in the Middle East should not be allowed to develop the nuclear energy.
