In the movie Shawshank Redemption made in 1994 by Frank Darabont. Cast membranes are Tim Robbins as Andy and Morgan Freeman as Red his best friend. This movie can be describe as corruption, friendship, and hope.
In the beginning, of the movie Andy is sent to prison for the murder of his wife and her affair. At the time no one knew Andy really did not kill his wife and her lover. When Andy made it to prison, he made a friend named Red another man that was in prison already for murder. During the years Red and Andy friendship grow. By this time, Tommy comes into the prison and in a few months he tells Andy his old cell mate is the person who killed his wife and her lover. Now knowing the truth he takes it to the warden. The warden doesn’t want Andy to leave so he gets Andy through into the prison dark room. The Warden gets kills Tommy and put Andy in the hole for two months. Afterwards, Andy escapes and takes all the money
This shows throughout the movie in scene with Red, Andy, Brooks, and others. In one scene it shows what it looks like when you lose hope in everything. The scene is when Brooks takes his own life. His last words are “I doubt they 'll kick up any fuss. Not for an old crook like me." Brooks lost hope in himself and the world around him because he was in prison for too long. That 's why you should have hope when all odds are against you. Hope is able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.-Desmond Tutu. In the Shawshank Redemption hope was the one thing that Andy had left. He tries to spread hope, but only few people really get the message. He created ways for the people in the prison to spend their time doing something better by the time they have in prison. Another scene where it show with it looks like when you have hope is when Red felt the same way brooks did but he went and found Andy. Andy give him hope all out through the
