1. Introduction
Labeled cortical depth maps (LCDMs) provide a way to determine volume and thickness of cortical structures from MRI brain scans. LCDMs have been used to distinguish cortical thickness in the cingulate in Alzheimer’s Disease and schizophrenia, and prefrontal cortex in schizophrenia as well as whole brain. LCDM relies on both the surface defined at the gray-white matter interface and the segmentation of the MRI region of interest into three distinct tissue classes: cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), gray matter (GM), and white matter (WM). With the emergence of automated surface parcellation, it is opportune to automate the generation and statistical analysis of LCDMs. Previously, volume segmentation was both laborious and potentially unrepeatable. In this work, we develop a method to fully automate LCDM calculations and demonstrate validation for the cingulate gyrus region of interest (ROI) in normal aging and demented subjects with respect to previously published results.

Miller et al [] developed the LCDM approach to quantify thickness and volume of cort...
A growth mindset is the belief that you can learn anything you want without a limit. You will not give up and face any challenge in life until you overcome it. A fixed mindset is the belief that you can learn till you reach a certain point. Also, that you will not succeed in life and as soon as you come across a tough challenge you will let it bring you down and won’t ever get back up or face that challenge. Since reading “Brainology” by Carol Dweck, I discovered that I have a growth mindset and fragments of a fixed mindset my whole life.

Brain Lateralization is a complex and ongoing process by which differing regions of the brain “take over” the functioning of specific behaviors and cognitive skills. Lateralization literally means that certain functions are located (in part or total) on one side of the brain.
Edward Chance Tolman made many significant findings to the studies of learning , memory and motivation. By today's standards he would be considered a behaviorist. “He is best remembered for being a pioneer in cognitive psychology during a time when behaviorists dominated the field. Tolman made several significant contributions to the field of psychology. At Berkeley University he created a cognitive theory of learning, which became his trademark to the field. He thought of learning as developing from bits of knowledge and cognition about the environment and how the organism relates to it “(Kimble et al, 1991).
In the Brainology article, professor Carol Dweck put forward two mindsets: fixed mindset and growth mindset. That is an educational project that was instituted by Carol Dweck and made her famous for. That is talking about transforming student’s motivation to learn found out that people have fixed mindset or growth mindset all have profound effects on their motivation, learning and school achievement. From this article, this is particularly designed to help students break all boundaries and limits set by negative learning perspectives, while also instilling self-confidence is fixed, that each person has a certain amount and we call this a fixed mindset. A fixed mindset makes challenges threatening for students, and it makes mistakes and failures

The human body is divided into many different parts called organs. All of the parts are controlled by an organ called the brain, which is located in the head. The brain weighs about 2. 75 pounds, and has a whitish-pink appearance. The brain is made up of many cells, and is the control centre of the body. The brain flashes messages out to all the other parts of the body.
