Foreign species from a far away land invading American soil and causing great

amounts of destruction. Sounds like something out of a science fiction movie right? Wrong!

Invasive species exist in the world and are a very real threat to the American citizens ' way of life. The

nations culture, resources, economic growth, waterways, forest’s s and even as personal as

citizens backyard are all at risk of being damaged beyond repair. Invasive species affect the

nations environment by causing major environmental damage, spreading disease, proliferating at

high rates, consuming a vast quantity of the key resources needed for trade and other essential

Invasive species are a major threat and American

governments need to take immediate action if we are to prevent destruction of our nation’s

biodiversity and resources. The economy of the nation is also taking major hits as far as expenses

on repair and recovery. Invasive species can cost up to 120 billion dollars a year just to repair the

substantial amount of damaged caused. Ever since the invasion of the Asian Cod in the Illinois

the government has spent millions on building electric fences in hopes of containing the fish so as

to prevent the fish from entering the Great Lakes.Our nation;s resorts and popular wet areas are

also receiving major damage. These areas can be harmed beyond the point of repair so agencies

should act now if we are to prevent more harm occurring in those areas. Diseases are carried

The Burmese

python is a perfect example of that issue in the world. The Burmese python has no natural

competitors and can reproduce without a challenge or opposition from other local wildlife. The

main concern with the Burmese python is the fact that the snake can harm humans taking up

residence in the surrounding area. The DNR is responsible for staying on top of everything

concerning species outbreak, the workload on the citizens involved is tremendous and extra help

from local citizens will be needed. The main goal is to eradicate the species on site so there is no

way possible the animals can grow to a point where it can no longer be controlled. Many

different methods are being deployed in order to prevent outbreaks. Each method has a specific

method of dealing with the issue.Data of the animal is always recommended when dealing with

invasive species.

Exotic pets can lead to major harm of the environment of owners don’t monitor their pets properly

and make sure that the animal remains confined to a specific area if not kept in the house. Under no

circumstance should this creature be allowed out and given the opportunity
