Homelessness is usually interpreted by many as a person that has a financial or housing problem. This has been a major issue across the United States, thousands of people living without shelter. Homelessness is defined as individuals or families who cannot afford their own place to live, due to unexpected life occurrences. To measure whether, or not an individual qualifies to be homeless is determined by a person not having a sustainable or permanent home. This could mean living on the streets, in a shelter home, or going from one place to the next in short periods of time. Without a steady amount of income people will not be able to support their basic needs. Ultimately leading people to feel hopelessness since these traumatic experiences they have faced push them to feel nothing is going to get better. These factors push people onto the streets and leaves them to become homeless. The first step to ending homelessness in America is to open up organizations, and give opportunities to the people who are willing to change their life, and return to their normal lives.
