706 Words2 Pages

Take a look at the back of a dollar bill. If someone looks closely at it, they will spot a pyramid with an eye on it. That is known as the “All Seeing Eye”(MacArthur 1). Some people know about the All Seeing Eye, but little did they know is that it is a Masonic symbol, that is associated with the Illuminati. Throughout time there has been many rumors and myths about the Illuminati, leaving everyone with the great question of who is the Illuminati and do they exist? Without evidence, as far as anyone knows they don’t; however there is history and evidence of their existence, which brings this secret society out of the dark and into the light.
Before anyone can truly understand the Illuminati, it is important to understand the actual definition of the Illuminati. According to unc.edu, the word Illuminati stands for one that is enlightened, or basically someone with great knowledge. This sounds all fine and dandy, but it is also important to know who created the Illuminati and who is the first person that had that great knowledge. On May first 1776, a German Professor named Adam Weishaupt founded the Illuminati. Their main goal was to “attain the highest possible degree of morality and virtue, and to lay the foundation for the reformation of the world by the association of good men to oppose the progress of moral evil”(Benjamin Bulford). In other words, Adam was tired of the government-ruling people and tired of people ruling people, which is why he created the Illuminati. Their basic goal was to enlighten people on ethics and overall educate people. All of that sounds magnificent on paper, but the hardest part about achieving those goals are, it would take along time, which Adam was fully aware of (Harding 1).
