Get up Andy, you know what day it is?” hissed his mother. Andrew Wilkins awoke from his deep slumber moaning like a child and trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes. As soon as he gently arose from his bed, his mother ripped apart the curtain unleashing a torrent of light which attacked his eyes viciously. He buried his head into his pillow trying to remember what his mum was talking about. “Now come on Andy, You’re going to meet the big man today…don’t make a bad impression like last time” That’s what it was. It was his long awaited interview. He cringed as he remembered last year. He messed up with far too many “emms” and “umms” and eventually just stared at the boss like a deer caught in the headlights. He ended up running away, too embarrassed to look back. Thinking about it, he was shocked that they invited him back again for an interview this year. However, this time he was prepared. He had submitted his letter 5 months earlier and had researched the boss and the company thoroughly. The boss was a great guy. Extremely kind and generous, he was known for his charitable efforts when helping kids. A fat jovial man he thought, maybe plump was a better word. The boss was world renowned and that’s what made this interview special: the fact that the boss himself would interview Andy. His mum barged into the room once again and exclaimed “Andy move your lazy butt into the shower, do I have to do everything for you around here” He smiled at his mother and with an air of confidence he replied “don’t worry mum, im becoming a man today”. She replied rather sarcastically “Yeah, a man who lives with his mum, what a great brave man you are”
After getting out of the shower, he took a deep sniff of the warm indoor air. He thought he...

... their prey. The tension was unbelievable. Luckily the sound of an old lady calling out a name over the Christmas music dispelled the tension. The bow tie bearer shot up and disappeared into the room. “guess everyone deserves a chance” he thought mockingly.
Ten minutes of nerves and sweat went past when the old lady called his name. The former stress disintegrated as he approached the giant red door. The bosses name was garnished above the holly. Upon reaching the magnificent gate, and passing through, he caught a glimpse of the boss. The boy ran up to meet him and jumped into his lap. The boss greeted him with the most immaculate “ho ho ho” he had ever heard. The boss pulled and twisted his white beard and spoke “Now tell me what would you like for Christmas young man”. He had been preparing for this interview since June. This would be the best Christmas ever.
