Year Round Schooling Advantages

Would you rather your kids having year round schooling or stick to the traditional schedules? Year round schooling has it's advantages and disadvantages. Many argue that round year schooling is benificial for students, teachers, and parents. However some argue the completely opposite of that. In the response written below are the advantages and disadvantages of year round schooling and what the community thinks about it.

One of the advantages of year round schooling is that they use multi-track schedules. Multi-track schedues are extrmely helpful to schools who have overfilled classrooms. One of the dissidvantages in that multi-track schedules can also be bad. Multi-track schedules can be a an organazational mess. "This schedule may seem like and effective use of space, but it is not. It can be an organazational nightmare for students, teachers, and parents"(Article 2, Para. 3). Students who participate in sports and clubs may miss games and meeting while they are on break. Although some people think that tax payers save more money by saving the cost of constructing new schools, they may end up paying more to maintain the current schools than to build new ones. Some people argue that the shorter breaks enable the students to remember more, but there is no data proving this. "While supporters contend that year-round schooling will improve students performance, little proof exists suggesting that this is the case"(Article 2, Para. 2). People in favor of year-round schooling also say that families have more time to got on vacations and family trips, but in the end it may be harder for parents to arrange these trips if they have kids in different schools or on a different shedule at the same school. "Parents who have children in different schools or on different tracks may find it difficult to arrange childcare or family trips"(Article 2, Para. 3).
