“For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” Romeo and Juliet were in love and the Friar decided to marry them, but after they were married, they would never be able to live a long and happy life with each other. Though the Friar was a father to Romeo he should not have given Juliet the potion and he should have just taken Juliet away at night so she and Romeo can be together again. Friar Laurence is the one to be blamed for every tragic that has happened.

The one who is to be blamed for this tragedy is our very own Friar Laurence. The Friar knew that is was a bad idea to marry Romeo and Juliet but the Friar ended up marrying them anyways. The Friar even scolded Romeo for being lovesick and not loving. The Friar also came up with the idea to give Juliet a potion. The Friar knew that Juliet was very sad because her beloved Romeo was banished from Verona. When Juliet agreed to take the potion she thought the Friar was trying to kill her, but the potion made her sleep for 2 days. When Juliet woke up from the poison she saw her beloved Romeo next to her dead. So when the Friar came to take her away, he heard the guards and fled, and left Juliet in the tomb to where Juliet took the dagger that belonged to Romeo and took her life. …show more content…

I don’t think the friar did it out of hate, but out of love because he saw that Romeo was in love, and saw that Romeo was happier than ever and was no longer depressed. The Friar may have thought that marrying Romeo and Juliet would hopefully stop the feud someday when Romeo and Juliet told their families that they were married. The Friar after a little while began to start being fine with Romeo and Juliet being in love until Romeo was banished and everything
