I am a quiet person, an introvert. Everyone knows it and I embrace it. It's just who I am, so who am I to change it? Being the quiet, silent type is easy for me. It gives me a chance to listen to and observe the world around me. Quiet has certain connotations, none of them negative or positive, much like quiet itself. When I think of quiet I think of calm, observant, soft, and so on. Quiet and confident seem to come in a package. I don't need anyone to notice me to feel appreciated, and I don't need the attention. However, don't mistake quiet for shy; the two words are almost polar opposites. Shy is related to being scared of people and unsure of oneself. I am a quiet fly on the wall, and that's where I want to be. I like to listen
