I feel as photojournalism is the most clear and honest way about the news in this day and age. It seems that photojournalism might be one of the most tedious jobs on the market. While it seems to provide much more freedom than most jobs, it's freelance approach and popularity is making it difficult for newcomers. How ever being a journalist seems like very enjoyable, for the experience alone and would be fun as a career.

Photojournalism is to tell a story through a picture. You work up to 80 hours a week, covering political debates to environmental issues. One downfall of being a photojournalist is that you have no steady income. Your pictures have to be bought by companies in order to get paid unless you work for a photography company. Knowing this, photojournalism still give a personal touch allowing the photographer to show his personal flair on the photos. …show more content…

These include Providence College, John Brown University, and Even Central Washington State. (note that there are many many more.) This can add up a lot of costs, having to buy new components and cameras every one to two years. The basic requirement is to have a high school diploma.

You will mostly be working alone, sending your work to the people paying for the picture. This is one of the reasons why i think this would be a fun career. It is all personal, it's your work, and your story. I think the freedom to choose has also opened my eyes in the way of how many photographs careers there are, it is almost mind blowing.

As challenging as the tasks of being a photojournalist are, the experience and passion driven toward the job, and overall fun make up for the long isolation work weeks. If I had to chose a profession with the use of photography i would definitely be a
