With summer upon us, the kids are out of school, the weather is warmer, and many people are ready for a change. If you have been considering moving for a while, you might be wondering if summer is the right time to make that move to a new home in Los Angeles County. Here are some of the pros and cons of moving during the summer.

Whether you planning on hiring a moving company or you simply plan to rent a rental truck and make the move yourself, it can be harder to find a rental company during the summer, especially if you do not book early enough. While moving companies will offer discounts during off-peak moving times, you are unlikely to be able to get a discount if you are moving during the summer. To potentially save yourself at least a little money and stress, no matter what time of year you decide to move, consider moving on a weekday. Because most people schedule moves for the weekend, it could be easier to find and book moving services if you decide to move in the middle of the week.

Of course, moving when other people are moving can be an advantage as well. This is especially true if you have children. They do not have to be the only new kid in the neighborhood. Plus, when school starts, they will not be the only new kid in the school, which can have its advantages and disadvantages.
