The American dream includes the idea that the government should protect each person's opportunity to pursue their own idea of happiness and on an equal basis. In ours, the Declaration of Independence protects this American Dream. It uses the familiar quote: " all men are created equal,' and people have to right to the pursuit of "Happiness." "Life" and "Liberty ( not an exact quote) Basically, every American should have an equal opportunity to become monetarily successful. But right now in America, this dream is slipping away, and is becoming eroded, or all together for some vanishing. The high standard of living that we enjoy here in the United States depends entirely on the availability of natural resources. These sources provide some with a luxury life and for other a means of just surviving. However with the attitude of the United States revolving around material items, this, unfortunately, has inevitably depleted our resources across the entire supply chain and generates a dangerous amount of environmental pollution. Also, the worldwide growing population and the need for more resource use is growing steadily. Although technology has helped us in many ways, it also has added significantly to these problems. With the obsession in America and around the world with technology and the constant revolving of new products and old ones just being thrown away and not recycled, then add to the fact that harsh chemicals are needed to the process of many of these products we are exposed to the dangerous environment that causes numerous health issues. Most of these erosions are in low-income areas and are causing more erosions and serious health problems in low-income areas where they can less afford it and do not have the resources or money to fight back. Many of these companies are building in these low-income areas because these businesses are fully aware of the dangers of these chemicals, so they don't want to set up these type of businesses near their homes or their families, schools, stores, etc. Additionally, they can get low wage workers and at the same time look like responsible employers by employing the least fortunate, plus this will help lower their exposure to the
