Why do we have heroes? What makes a hero? Can anyone be a hero? We have heroes all around us. Heroes protect us from harm and provide us with guidance that help us walk through our daily lives. Heroes are selfless, brave, and noble. You do not have to be strong, have superpowers, or be able to protect the entire world from harm. Anyone can be a hero. You can be a hero to someone else without even realizing it. My hero is Walter Elias Disney. The reason he is my hero is because he is a great inspiration. Even at times when things did not have a positive outcome, in times where he was bankrupt and everything seemed hopeless, he still carried on and had an optimistic point of view in life. No matter how bad things got, he just made the best of what he had and thanks to his optimism he had went on to be a icon in the animation industry. He has taught me to never give up, no matter how hopeless the situation seems to be. Many people are able to relate to Mr. Disney very well. He began his career like you and I may have. He began working in an animation studio. There he began creating cartoons of his first character, ‘ Oswald the Rabbit’. After Oswald was bought, his whole group of artists who worked for him quit and decided to work for another man that left only him and Ub Iwerks.
