I would like to thankyou all for gathering here today to commemorate the joining of these two souls, Miley and Liam. I’m sure we could sit here all day listing of the amazing things Miley has done, not only has she been an amazingly reliable friend to me and others, she has always gone above and beyond when it comes to helping out others and making a difference in the community, such as charity work, supporting cases and portraying a well thought message to her viewers, I truly congratulate you on all your successes in life. Miley has donated to several charities, it would take me all day to name every single one of them but here’s a few; red cross, YWCA, city of hope, stand up to cancer, music for relief and donate my dress are some of the numerous charities Miley has contributed too, these few are what makes Miley so special and someone who is admired by many, by doing this she always sets a good influence and is an inspiration and role model to many youths, I cant be more proud of the person you’ve become and continue to be. The question many people ask is why? Why do you choose to donate? And I know for a fact Miley doesn’t use it just to be labelled as something; she does it purely from her heart, to help others and to help the world become a better place. City of Hope was a very successful charity Miley helped fund, she raised around 1 million dollars and also performed in the organization’s concerts in 2008, 2009 and 2012, which raised over 4 million dollars. Miley not only supports a few cases but she supports over a dozen of them, causes like; abuse, addiction, civil rights, hunger, career support and so many more. By supporting these cases people have benefited from it, it’s opened new doors for people who struggled and who are currently still struggling with hunger, rights, careers, abuse and addiction. The message Miley loves to get across is to ‘start young’ when it comes to giving and helping others. After the earthquake in Haiti, Miley chose to take part in helping out the poverty striven country to work towards getting it back to its normal state, whilst she was over there a foundation and herself dispersed over 400 hearing aids for deaf children. Here, she worked with other Disney stars to improve the environment. During this program, Demi filmed a music video, Make A Wave, promoting picking up garbage on the beach. Friends For Change was created to improve the environment and to teach kids how to care for it (Rector). In 2016, she partnered with Global Citizen. Demi helps children in Iraq who suffer from mental health issues due to the displacement in their country because of war. She brought the HEART Program to Iraq, in which will process their grief and rebuild themselves after witnessing the horrible truth of war in their country. Demi also has her own scholarship program. During her childhood years living with her mother, Oprah had very little money and life was difficult. She wants to help as many children as possible grow up in a sound, safe, and educational environment. Oprah has changed the world with all of her organizations and charity efforts. Oprah Winfrey has helped thousands of children attend school with her scholarships that she has funded. Many of these children would never go to school or continue their college career without her amazing efforts of providing financial support to these children.
