As is known, people always have produced technological tools to facilitate their work, so cranes are one of the best inventions produced by people. This invention is the use of energy in machine. Before the invention, Man power and animal power was used in order to lift up very big and heavy materials, but Technological developments have appeared in this case and Cranes are produced.” First crane design was drawn at B.C. 5th century by Roman architect Vitreous.”(Wikipedia, 2013). If we explain the Crane; “ The crane has a pulley located at the top of. This crane has a body secured with ropes also another rope is connected to a tool like mill.”(Wikipedia, 2013). This mill at that time was working with human or animal power. Overtime, many technological tools have been found in the World. “ The first crane was produced at 19th century by Scottish John Rennie.”(Wikipedia, 2013). This crane was working without human and animal power. This product was very big reform. This product was working with steam power. If today; Many cranes and systems are manufactured in order to lift up very big and heavy materials. There are many different types of cranes in the present. Etiquettes them:
1.“ Overhead Crane
2. Gantry Crane
3. Cantilever Crane
4. Tower Crane
5. Mobile Crane
6. Wired Crane,
7. Combined Crane” ( TMSF Group, 2002)
As above many types of cranes were produced, but there were periodic maintenances and training in the cranes. After sorting these processes, I will explaining particularly:
1. “According to the operating conditions of the crane selection.
2. Crane production and development
3. Periodic maintenances
4. Operator selection and training ” (TMSF Group, 2002)

As a consequense; crane always makes human life easier and will continue, but according to the operating conditions of the crane selection. Crane production and development. Periodic maintenances, operator selection and training must be cared by factories or industry facilities or governments. Especially, operator training should be carefully done and government should always control the operator training.

Before jumping in, there is one important question that must be addressed – is there any difference between the jib and the crane? These terms are often used interchangeably, hence the concern. The crane is, specifically, the arm which does the lifting while the jib is just the name for the crane that is used
He remained about three years and during that time invented and put into use a railway safety brake, which could be controlled by the engineer, and ingenious devices to run rails for four-poster beds and to improve the operation of turbine wheels. From ancient times through the Middle Ages, and into the 13th century, man or animal power was the driving force behind hoisting devices. By 1850 steam and hydraulic elevators had been introduced, but it was in 1852 that the landmark event in elevator history occurred: the invention of the world's first safety elevator by Elisha Graves Otis. By 1852 he had moved to Yonkers, New York, to organize and install machinery for the bedstead firm of Maize & Burns, which was expanding. Josiah Maize needed a hoist to lift heavy equipment to the upper floor.
Simple machines are used to let people do certain tasks without using a lot of force. They increase the effect of a certain input distance, speed, or force. They also are able to help change direction. Simple machines consist of levers, pulleys, inclined planes, wedges, screws, wheel and axles, and gears. 1Some of these simple machines combined create compound machines. Some examples of compound machines are a wheel barrow that consists of a wheel and axle and a lever, and a cork screw which has two levers and a screw. 1There is a tendency for compound machines to have a lower efficiencies than simple machines. 1Compound machines however, have greater mechanical advantages than simple machines.
The roots of the machine go back to at least the fifth century B.C. in China. In its most primitive form, it consisted of a pivoted beam with a sling at one end and ropes at the other. A stone would be placed in the sling and a team of men would haul the ropes, swinging the beam up into the air”1.
...hese complex machines make work easier for us. Simple machines are also useful. For one they make up all complex machines. They also make work more manageable.
Hydraulic lifts: offered minimum comfort, low speed, lmited travel height, low cost (<50% of geared lifts). Needs huge amounts of oil and is potenital fire and safety
A good example of this is the spring pole which originally was operated by the weight and strength of three or more men, this was replaced with a modern all steel rig “which is powered with an internal-combustion engine, electric motor or steam engine” Kurtz, et al (1940). This mechanical advancement has continued during this period; however man power was still required in drilling practices regardless the advancement.
Aviation industry deals with more than thousands of people and also spending millions of funds in order to meet the requirements, satisfy the necessities of people and to produce state-of-the-art aircraft. With its objective it is significant to consider the hazards involved and bring out an output with the least extent and under control risks to prevent any loss in terms of life and even profit.
Early sailors were the first ones conceptualize the windmill. They were able to imagine what wind power could do, but did not have the knowledge of resources to explain the logic or physics behind the windmill, they just had the concept. But nonetheless with time, the idea of wind power then evolved to form the windmill. “It is uncertain who came up with the idea, but its purpose is to function in everyday life. Remains of windmills have been found in Ancient Mesopotamia and Persia (Higgins, p.12).” Windmills have been used by the earliest of people. They used it to grind grain which in turn helped mass production of food to help the population growth. Before the invention of the windmill this job was done by hand, which consumed much a lot of time. Nowadays wind turbines are used to generate electricity.
Manual lifter uses the manual power to lift the load. This types of lifters are operated with the hand or foot force and it uses mechanical parts such as gears, chains, sporckets. This Mechanism uses various mechanical components like lead screws ,gears ,chains etc. to lift the weight or load.
The strength of an economy is often judged by the infrastructure of the country. Hence, the construction industry forms a very critical aspect for an economy. Along with investment opportunities it is one of the major sources of employment across various levels.
Improved quality of maintenance work by adopting the best methods and procedures and assigning the most qualified workers for the job
A registered professional engineer shall always give the top priority of safety, health and welfare of the public
Construction industry has been contributing Hong Kong’s development for long times. It is one of the pillars which is important for supporting Hong Kong to be a better place.
People in the modern world still use the same technology that people from millions of years ago used. These technologies make life easier for humans and help them do day-to-day activities. Machine technology throughout the world is mainly made from six simple machines. They are the lever, inclined plane, wedge, screw, wheel and axel, and pulley. These machines provide a mechanical advantage for people and provide safer, less strenuous work for them. Starting from the Stone Age to present time, simple machines have made the largest global impact because they help human beings create less work and effort, they have developed new technologies in history, and they continue to help people make new technologies today.
