In the east coast, there was an abundance of cod within the waters, although not known at the time. The first fishermen in Canada could barely use otter-trawling as their means of catching fish because of the amount of cod fish in the waters. Time will pass, and people will immigrate to the east coast because of their realization that this will sustain the economy for years to come.
