Murder is unlawfully taking of human life. The primary reason God hates murder is that out of all creation, only human are made in the image of God (New King James ,Genesis 1:26-27; 9:4-6). And for a human that is made in the image of god to kill another human because of a mistake is unjustifiable. In the Scriptures God gives us a basic commandment against the taking of human life. For centuries we have been taught the King James translation of the Sixth Commandment, "Thou shalt not kill". In our language the word "kills" simply means to take a life." (New King James, Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17)It does not differentiate between premeditated killing, accidental killing, killing in war, or killing in self-defense. It can be said that the death penalty is the most overlooked form of government we murder people who murder people to show that murder is wrong. Its this contradiction in policy that makes Capital punishment a violation of any human beings natural rights.
