Thanks to this writing process, my work has improved in a very tremendous way because I have been able to reflect on my work before and after I turn it in for a grade. The blogs have given me a sense of guidance through my writing process strategies. Another strategy of mine that has improved is my ability to conduct extensive research, during WP2 which was our collaborative writing piece, I was taught how to conduct credible research to help me draft for my topic. The research I have conducted during this course has been extremely beneficial to me because I now know what credible sources are to ensure that my research is trustworthy. I have learned where to find the best research through the use of different databases.
During this semester, I have done various work such as reading and writing. This work includes reading articles from the book and writing essays. New experience come to our life, if we appreciate the effort from our professors. This semester I learn about being more organize, be more clear and specific, also to be more aware about the beautiful details of ideas that can just pop into our mind. English class had many lessons to teach, but I gather some of them to talk about. Which are, being more organized, be clear and the power of risk. That means that sometimes those ideas should be included in our work to be more creative.
However, during the learning community project, I came to realize that I learn more effectively when I work in groups. Working in a group was like an adventure for me; there were both exciting and challenging times while preparing for the learning community project. The original research question our group came up with was “How can an individual influence a learning community to better support learning?” After the discussion in class, however, we decided to change our research question to “How can learning be improved through learning communities?” When we conducted research in the library and found many compelling articles, we realized that we had chosen a good research question. We decided to present our information on the social learning theory, key components on learning, and the benefits of a learning community. My focus was on the benefits of learning communities.
