Everyone looks at the world through a lens. It is not a literal lens such as the eye or a cornea, but rather a filter through which an individual perceives the world. This so-called filter is shaped and influenced by their personality, childhood, beliefs, religion, experiences, and biases. A person interprets and reacts to the world based on their understanding of events as communicated through the lens of their worldview. My definition is therefore an individual’s perception of the world through their personal filter. Using this definition of a worldview, I would say mine is characterized as being Christian and global in nature.
