After a long week of the normal routine, it is imperative to find an activity to unwind. Walking in a park, scenic drive, or even being a couch potato could help to remove the edge from a harsh week. Anticipation for a newly released movies would also remove some of the tension for a stressed employee. Not just any movie will do. For some it is important to watch a movie they can relate to. One that will invoke certain emotions or make them think. What these viewers are looking for are movies with a specific theme. A theme is an idea, subject, or topic of some kind that pervades the plot. (Goodykontz, 2014) sticking with the movie I have written about is previous discussion, I have chosen the wizard of oz. In this essay I will discuss how The Wizard of Oz represent the theme of emotional security and how the filming process reflects this idea.

His section of the forest has more trees than the tin man location. The cinematographer used more low key lighting that shows a deeper and darker part of the wood. The character of the lion had on a full suit made up as a lion. The actors portrayal of the lion was a bit dopey and silly. He comes off aggressive and mean at first. The actor portrays the traits of a lion if it were the king of the jungle. The objective was to show the audience what a lion’s personality would be if it could speak. After scarring everyone Dorothy decided that she had enough and bopped him on the nose. Then, his character flaw is revealed. The lion declares that he has no courage.
