Hesiod’s Theogony, is a large scale epic poem with a wide range of Greek traditions concerning the gods of the cosmos. It is a narrative or expository describing the origins of the universe and the complicated interdependency of the gods of ancient Greeks. Hesiod offers the earliest Greek version of genesis. Chaos provides the beginning for creation. Out of Chaos the universe came into being.
