Piracy is starting to take over the music industry but not all of the artist agree with it. Some make money either way while others are losing money of it.lady gaga said she makes up to 50 million of one tour. While other has has sued piracy company this shows how artist don't all agree on piracy this shows how all artist don't agree with piracy.In this essay i will talk about how musicians are are happy and unhappy with the music industry and how piracy makes the debate more complicated. Some Artist are unhappy with the music industry. Some big artist including dr. dre have sued napster a piracy site. This shows how artist are unhappy because they took time out off their day to sue a company. Artist like Thom Yorke David Bryan and Black Keys have complained about the size of their royalties. The music streaming sites are not paying the artist enough money so they see they have to complain to make the money the deserve. Not all musicians make money of online analysis. As shown some artist are getting more popular off of piracy which then means more people buy concert tickets, Merchandise , and maybe buy their album. Musician Colten doesn't know what happen to the music but money comes out the business end. Some artist don't care what happened to their music they just care about the good things that come from it. Eminem said Piracy doesn't hurt an artist unless the Artist put out a bad album. This Shows how Artist shouldn't complain because if their good artist they would make money either way.
