The most common topic which students cheat at is either math or science. Sometimes people take chances when they approach them, a couple students in my class have decided to cheat while our teacher was out of the room. Cheating is an untolerable academic failure that people do to not get a bad grade on a exam that they did not prepare for.
I agree with my school's decision of giving everyone in my class an "F", because it punishes the people who have cheated and the people who have heard the answers that they yelled out including myself. Cheaters must be punished so that they would not do it again. Most schools punish cheaters if they find out, but if a school did not punish cheaters then it would ruin the kid's academics and the school's …show more content…

Cheating will not only make you suffer because of a punishment, it will also affect you in the long run. If you were to cheat and get caught not only will the school provide with means of disiplinary action they will also report the cheating on your transcript. This transcript is very important to yourself for the future, because when you are applying for a college or a job the managers will look at your transcript before hiring you and if they see that you have reports of cheating in your transcript they will not hire you. Some people may say that giving an "F" to all of the students in the class even the ones who did not cheat is unfair. While I do agree that this is partially true it is not to say that when the cheaters were sharing answers they were saying it out loud and anyone could have taken one of the answers and put it down on their paper. So it technically means that every student in the classroom has cheated on their exam. Also, the school can not go around and interogate every student in the school to see if they cheated or not. This is very irrelevant and dumb choice for the school to make, because it is better to focus on making the student’s academic score higher rather than scaring
