Malcolm Little, born in Omaha, NE on May 19, 1925 has been dealing with racism before he was even born. When Louise Little was pregnant with Malcolm they used to get many death threats and harsh treatment from racist groups such as the KKK. When Malcolm was around 6 years old his house was bombed while everyone was asleep luckily everyone managed to escape unharmed.
Malcolm dropped out of school after 8th grade when a teacher told him to try and be a carpenter instead of a lawyer he then turned to crime and became known as “Detroit Red”. He was later arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison, but was let out on parole after serving seven. After he was released he went to the Nation of Islam to follow behind Elijah Muhammad in hope to learn more about his beliefs and to become a part of the Nation of Islam.
Even though Malcolm X was speaking violence into the minds of many fellow African Americans, he persuaded them to use violence against people but only if it seemed necessary. Many people went against what he believed in because of this. They did not agree it was the right way to handle this situation especially since there was already violence present from the racist. …show more content…

During Malcolm's speech two men acted out in order to get the bodyguards attention away from Malcolm. A man pulled out a gun and shot Malcolm then two other guys did the same and ran in the crowd of people to blend in. one man out of the three was shot in the leg by a bodyguard, he was the only one known to be rightfully accused the other two men that were suspected and later accused of killing him yet with no hard evidence. Five years later the guilty man wrote a letter while serving time saying that the other two men that were accused of being a part of the assassination were innocent and that he hated being part of the reason that they were serving time for a crime he knows they did not
