There are many songs about telling the truth and being truthful. One song that stands
out in mind is by singer, Keaton Henson. His song "Lying to You" is really a song about telling
the truth. The singer is admitting that he is lying to the person he is singing to. He says:
"I can see in your eyes that you mean it I can feel in your arms t hat it's truth And though I just heard myself say it, Baby, I'm lying to you Baby, I'm lying to you."
Through out the song, the singer admits things openly and honestly. People have a hard time
telling the truth. The Bible tells us to tell the truth. 1 John 3:18 tells us, "Little children, let us not
love with word or with tongue but in deed and truth." Even though there are many songs about

An excellent example of a song that talks about lying, is a song by
Fleetwood Mac entitled "Little Lies." Little Lies is about recognizing that a relationship is failing.
One of the two people involved in the relationship is unwilling to see it go. The singer says:
"If I could turn the page In time then I'd rearrange just a day or two Close my, close my, close my eyes But I couldn't find a way So I'll settle for one day to believe in you Tell me, tell me, tell me lies"
She wishes she could change something in their history that is causing the breakup of her
relationship. But since she can't change the past, she'll instead take a day in the present where
she can believe in her love: "I'll settle for one day to believe in you; Tell me, tell me, tell
me lies." Lying is a sin. In the Bible, Leviticus 19:11 tells us, "You shall not steal, nor deal falsely,
nor lie to one another." The only similarity in the songs "Lying to You" and "Little Lies" is that the songs are both about relationships. The difference between the two songs is that in the song "Lying to You", the
singer, admits that he lied in his relationship and even though he lied, he is being truthful

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, lying means to tell an account of an untrue event or give false information.
She questions, “What I am to you now that you are no / longer what you used to be to me? / Who are we to each other now …” (Sutphen 1-3). She remembers the good times, but she is uncertain about what he is feeling. She wants to know, and she needs to know. According to Shawn Lewis, “Divorce people often fantasy hiring a hit-man one moment, and discussing a reconciliation in the next moment. They sometimes become recluses, and frequently spend sleepless nights contemplating whether life will be worth living the next morning.” In other words, the doubts are consuming her. There are unanswered questions, which leaves the woman confused about her feelings. Likewise, the reader can relate to the woman because she is having anxiety waiting for answers. On the other hand, the reader are left wondering how her partner felt towards

In the article “Is Lying Bad for Us”, Richard Gunderman persuades his readers the effect of lying can have on our daily lives. He expresses strong opinions towards being honest and how lying has negative consequences on not only our mental health but
These two songs share multiple poetic devices that make them similar but yet unique at the same time. They both have a message and even though those messages are not the same they give the listener a message related to the problems that are going on around us on a daily bases.
She thinks that if she vandalizes his precious “souped-up four wheel drive” it will stop him from being unfaithful- to teach him a lesson. However, in “perfect” the thoughts haunt her mind as she realizes she serves no purpose to her boyfriend. “ I hear you talking 'bout her in your sleep”, she feels as if he’s distancing himself from her; as if he has lost the love he had for her; it can make any women feel defeated wondering what the other women is doing that has such of an effect on them. “I can taste her lipstick, it's like I'm kissing her, too”. She has reached a turning point in the relationship; she knows he is being unfaithful from the way he acts towards her, tasting her lipstick as she kisses him, when he says her name in his sleep. She knows he’s being unfaithful yet she still stays- she stays hoping he will change when he does not. While in “Before He Cheats” she does not stay another second to an unfaithful man; she leaves the relationship. Secondly, in “Before He Cheats” she keeps thinking about her ex, thinking back to the memories they had and insulting his new replacement how she is nothing like her and how she believes she is much more better than who he preferred to be with. “He’s

Telling the truth can have some consequences, but a lie can cause more damage in a relationship once it has been figured out. People believe that by just lying, a problem is solved, but problems start when lies are told. Lying destroys relationships and truth builds honest relationships which, can last forever. In both F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby and Rob Marshall’s Chicago, characters lie because they feel that it is easier. However, lying leads to a downward- spiral. The society we live in can either lead us to a complicated relationship with the truth or easygoing. The problem with constantly telling lies is that it starts off with one, then leads to another until everything you say is a lie. Being truthful

By definition lie means: A lie is a false statement to a person or group made by another person or group who knows it is not the whole truth, intentionally (2).
Telling the truth teaches one person self- respect for themselves and others as well. Telling the truth also sets a good example for others to do the same thing and make a “chain reaction”. People can make a “chain reaction” by passing on what they have done from one person to another, and before you know it, everyone is changing greatly, and the world is progressing tremendously. Lies are told all around the world, and they are told every day. One lie can often lead to another lie and cause you to be caught up in one big lie that will be hard to get out of if people do not tell the truth. If a person thinks that is okay to lie, they better think again, the truth always comes out no matter how hard a person tries to keep it in, or how much someone thinks that they can get away with lying. No person can keep in or hold a grudge with what they have done. After all, telling the truth is the right thing to do, and everyone should do it. Telling the truth is always much easier than the trouble of a
