This is a video that is about education reform in United States. It was done by Ken Robinson in 2013. The issue that is presented in the video is about a high number of students who drop out of high school. This is an ethical issue because it something which is hindering the community from developing. According to Project Legal, social issues are considered as things which are not desirable to the community. This issue is significant to me personally because I know that if children are dropping out of school, we will not able to develop our community. Education promotes creativity. The video is more about what people need to do in order to protect the environment. The social issue that is presented in the video is that people are not protecting oceans though oceans are source of their life. This is a social issue because it is a problem that is preventing the community from developing. In fact, people need oxygen so as to breathe so if they are destructing oceans, they are reducing oxygen in the earth. This is a significant social problem because if there is a reduction of oxygen on earth many people will die.
The main point of view that is presented in this video is that people are destruction of ocean a lot. Sylvia Earle said that in 50 years, we have eaten more than 90% of big fishes. For tomorrow’s children, people should ask themselves why they did not do something to save all those fishes. For her, life to ocean is life to people. People need to do everything so as to protect fish. She said that every drop of water people take and every breath, they are connected to the sea. No matter where you are. Most of oxygen is generated by the sea. 97% of life is provided by ocean on the universe. Carbon dioxide is not only driving to global warming but also ocean destruction. It is making the sea more acidic. As a result, there is a reduction of oxygen to people. Imagine ocean without fish and how trouble it is going to be to human system.
