Bump, set, and spike! These are all of the things that our team was thinking about at Game 1 of our first game at state. Our team was playing St. Joseph and Hannah Martin was probably one of the only ones on the team that was actually excited to play St. Joseph’s in the first game in the state tournament. Although, state volleyball was a little bit nerve-wracking, she helped us in different ways get a lot of the nerves out of us. In Game 1, against St. Joseph’s our team was pretty much a nervous wreck! Most of us were panicking and praying about how we would play on the court. Hannah was a big contribution to our game and not only being the starting setter, but encouraging any of us on the court if one of us did something disappointing or wrong. Just by looking over at her you could tell and either a win or lose she would still be happy with the results. Hannah would always try her best in practices and in games. The game did mean a lot to her, and many more of us on the team could tell. Every set, pass, or kills that she had, she tried to make and put her hardest effort to make the best plats that she could to try and help benefit the team. Most of us could just tell that she was just really happy to be at state all in all. Most of us could tell that we were probably going to win the game because we won the first set and were pretty close to winning the second set. Most of us by then were really excited when it was over. We were all excited about the outcome of the last and and how we were going to do the next game. On the other hand, Hannah could not wait! She was so excited and thrilled about winning in game 1 and going to be in the Final Four of the
