We all have been children, we all have our crasy stories and friends you’ll never forget because they made your youth more fun and wild. In the movie ”Stand by me” we see four 12-year old boys and their story from the last summer days before starting high school. Geordie is the narriture and few months before he lost his older brother. Teddy has a history of an abusive father. Vern is overweight and always made fun. Chris comes from a family with criminals and addicts. The boys want to be famous so they go on a hike to try and find missing boy, who is persumed dead. On this hike they meet difficulties who a 12 year old should not be able to handle but with the help of friendship, determination and insecurness that turns in to trust and hope they succeed. …show more content…

In one scene Gerodie starts talking to Chris about his parents dosen’t love him and they wish Geordie died instead of his brother and Chris says ”Your parents dosn’t not love you, they just don’t know you”. After watching this movie, everybody can make a resembles to a wonderful friend like Chris.

As a 12 year old boy or girl you shouldn’t be judged by your past or your family name. But all these boys are and dealing with it in diffrent ways. Teddy tries to follows his dads footsteps so he tries out for the army. Chris keep up with Geordie and therefore get good grades, so he became a lawyer and proved everybody wrong. Geordie leaves town for college and never saw his bestfriends again after high school.

A beautiful qoute from the movie is ” I’ve never had friends like I did when I was 12, jesus will anyone?” It makes you appreciate your current and past friendships to a whole other level.
Still to this day every child experience either bullying, abuse or insecurness. ”Stand by me” show that but it also shows how a child can mature and appriciate the happy
