Stalin came into play in 1924 after Lenin who was the ruler of Russia at the time passed away in this year, by overcoming his rivals and winning the power of the communist party and being in control of it. Moving into the late twenties, Stalin had become a dictator for the next thirty years, a very powerful dictator of the Soviet Union. By having the title “dictator” he had no feelings and was a ruthless man by putting terror into people and getting rid of anyone who disapproves or attempted to prevent anything that Stalin wanted. Stalin took no consideration from what anyone wanted or what anyone thought. Moving into the year of 1945, The United States and the Soviet Union, and others were allies with each other in World War II to defeat Adolf Hitlers empire of nazis. A couple years later two once known allies now become enemies over economic, ideological and geopolitical struggles leading into the Cold War which was never actually a confirmed war.

In conclusion, after reading the article about Stalin and understanding the thesis statement in the article provided, I feel like I have to agree with the author. The reason why I am saying this is because learning everything while attending the class, I can clearly see it in this article from Stalin planning and the United States acting. I really liked the point where it says the other nations will be just over thrown and not convinced. I really liked this point because it shows how confident Stalin was during all of this. People did not like what Stalin was doing in other nations but the power that he had at the time, they had to listen to him or they'd face serious consequences. Stalin was a man with a plan and power that he wanted to accomplish.
