Speeding contributes to 30% of road fatalities and is one of the biggest killers on our roads today. It is a major concern of today’s society, but there are a number of questions that need to be answered before addressing this topic.
What exactly is speeding?
Speeding is driving too fast. Not only is it driving too quick but too fast for the conditions of the road, the vehicle state and driver ability. Speeding can be defined as going over the speed that will allow you to stop well within the distance that you can see to be clear.
How many annual deaths are caused by speeding?
In 2006, just over 30% of deaths in Australia occurred from speeding.
What are the consequences?
