She must travel to the town of Sol and find the fire flower that would help her rise to her rightful place on the sun. Solstices’ parents tell her she must leave now and once she finds her flower she must bring it back to the town of Sola. When she gets to the town of Sola she will find the goddess of the galaxy who goes by the name Galexia, and give her the flower. Solstice will then be asked 3 questions which will then grant her to be a goddess.
Solstice left her hometown and started traveling to find her flower, as she reached the town of Sol she came to see that there were thousands of flowers that look exactly like the one she needed. Solstice became confused as to how she is going to find the flower that is hers, but luckily she saw a town hall where she would go and ask for help to see if the ruler of Sol could help her find what she was looking for. In “The Warmth of Other Suns” by Isabel Wilkerson, the three main characters that the story follows face a great deal of inequality and racial prejudice in both the Jim Crow south that they left and the north that they fled to. Through their stories, as well as the excerpts from Wilkerson that serve to dispel some of the common myths and to explain some of the inequalities that others faced, one is able to make many connections between the problems that Ida Mae, George Starling, and Richard Foster, among many others, faced in their time and the obstacles to equality that our society still to this day struggles to overcome. A large reason as to why these obstacles still exist is that many have preconceived ideas about African Americans and African American Communities. However, numerous obstacles still survive to this day as a result of certain racist ideas.

As she does so, the light increases and she says,” Look, Job: the forsythia, the first few leaves...not leaves though… petals… I found it growing in the ashes, gold as though it did not know” (MacLeish 149-151). The light increasing is a deliberate stage direction that serves to indicate the return of happiness and optimism in J.B. and Sarah’s lives. The forsythia is also a symbol that represents the return of happiness. A forsythia is a shrub whose bright yellow flowers appear in early spring before the leaves begin to grow on the branch. Sarah’s return, along with the light and the forsythia, all show that there is hope for happiness after tragedy and misfortune, and this parallels to the post-WWII era. Furthermore, when Sarah approaches J.B., he questions her departure from him and Sarah answers, “You wanted justice, didn’t you? There isn’t any. There’s the world… cry for justice and the stars will stare until your eyes sting… I loved you. I couldn’t help you anymore. You wanted justice and there was none -- only love” (MacLeish, 151). The period of time when the magnetic field is strong and there are many sunspots is called a solar maximum. The sun approached one of its solar maximums in the year 2000, and this maximum affected the conditions on earth.
