The two books that I read were Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and The Fear by Charlie Higson. The development of both of these stories will be portrayed in this essay through the use of comparing and contrasting elements in the story. In the story Of Mice and Men, there are two characters named George and Lennie. They are on the run trying to survive on what they got. Lennie is slow in the head, so George takes care of him. They get into trouble in a town, so they run away they are looking for jobs, and they end up getting one on a farm. They work for a man named Curley, and his wife likes sneaking around with the guys on the farm. Lennie accidentally killed a puppy when he was petting it. Curley’s wife lets lennie touch her hair then he starts petting hard then he gets scared and breaks her neck. Lennie runs away, and George goes looking for him. They go looking for their friends that got lost. They are on a boat going down a river, and they hit a piece of debris and the boat sinks. Another group of kids see them and help them when they get back on the land DogNut’s group asks if their friend are there, so they go looking for them again. It gets dark, and the zombies come out and chase the kids. They run into a zombie called the collector, and they run away, but one of the girls that were looking for her brother gets trapped. The collector tortures the kids he captures. To escape the collector she jumps to her death. The group finds their missing friends that were with another group in a safe place.
