Do we really want this young generation of possible world changers to be deprived of the technology and apps of their future? Social media have been around for ages, pretty much ever since the internet came to be. Since that time, the age limit for most well-known social media apps has been no more and no less than 13. 13, is that really what is necessary? Is that really what we think the appropriate age is? Is that really right? Well I certainly think not and so will you after reading my arguments about why The social media age limit should be dropped. The social media age limit should be dropped because kids gain the ability to connect and socialise with friends and family overseas that they otherwise may not have been able to do. Just by a simple click of the "like" button or a drop of uplifting comments, can absolutely cause a huge difference towards someone's day, especially a relative or a friend. Kids living around this world today need to communicate, to socialise, to make connections all of which can be achieved by lowering the age limit on social media. Social media is an escape, an escape that people can feel safe in, somewhere in which kids can feel all their feelings and express all their emotions. This leads on to my next argument on how children these days can become more aware and alert to the worlds issues and problems surrounding them.
