Driving age: Should it be raised twenty-one?
“Over than 6000 adolescences are dying each year from car accidents” According to the article “Americans are dying each year by accidents,” Seth Bronstein” (2016). Teens are not mature enough to drive at a young age. Particularly, when they are in schools or universities. Teenagers should drive to college. Also they may use their carriages to go to other dwellings that are unneeded such as a party, that’s why driving age should be raised 21. Also there are two reasons 21 should be the age of driving, drivers will be more responsible and the number of car accidents will decrease.
First of all, proponents claim that driving age should be raised twenty-one because drivers will act responsibility. Teenagers have the highest car crash amount of any age group. They are the most people who are having fun and being careless the streets. Most of teens love to drive in high speed that leads to car crash at the end. In the article “Annual road fatalities” (2011) the author recommends that car accidents in the U.S. killed 52,132 people, about 15,000 vehicle accidents. It may be true that there are a lot of teens don’t have someone to drop him or her to university. Nevertheless, people should realize the fact that driving a car is a serious thing, not playing or having fun in the roads. Society must count the number of the accidents every month to show the teens the results to make them feel scare. The highest amount of accident fatalities in teenagers, resulting in 260 deaths, was on April, in article “Teen Driver Car Accident Statistics” (2011). Likewise, it is also important to remember that driving cars seriously just in the real roads.
