It was a sunny day in the town of Toady. The sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky. The Sanchez family was on their way to the beach for a relaxing day in the sun. “Did you know that we live on the crust of the earth?” said Garrott, the kid who feels like he needs to tell everyone what he learned. “Everybody knows that Carrot,” said Aleese, the athletic one of the family. “Well did you know that there are 2 types of Earths crust? Did you know that the Oceanic Crust is denser than the continental crust? Or did you know that the Continental crust is made of Andesite and Gravel while the oceanic crust is made of basalt?” The Family learned just to stay silent when Garrot starts to ramble on about what he learned in the library. …show more content…

When the parents looked at the sea where the kids were never taking their eyes off, they saw something that made them freeze in their track. A black portal was there parting the sea like some sort of pathway. Garrot ran around like a crazy man and when the family realized what was going to happen, it was too late. Garrot slipped on the golden sand and fell onto the floor. He got back up, but he was too close to the portal so when he ran, he ran in place. He looked so determined to reach the end, but he had no more energy to keep going. He jumped as one final effort to grab onto Aleese’s hand, but he was sucked into the portal filled with blood curling screams. “Seriously guys, Where’s my muffin?” said Grandpa. The family had tears in their eyes and their mouths were wide open, no one cared about a Muffin, until grandpa went to close to the portal. In the blink of an eye, Grandpa was gone. “Grandpa…I HAVE YOUR MUFFIN!!!!!”screamed Aleese. “We need to go in after them!” said Aleese “Well… In these types of stories they always find their way home!” said Cadable “Well, in these types of stories someone goes after them!” said Shirley with a slight quaver in her voice.
