What is your definition of “family.” A grouping of parents, and children, or maybe a brother and a sister with an aunt or uncle. Well seaworld has redefined family. They tell their viewers that they care about the social structure of their whales, and that they keep families together when in reality their “families” are just an artificial assemblage of whales that they found or bought and put in a pool together. Imagine being put with a bunch of strangers you don’t even know, thats not a family, its just a random grouping. A common controversial issue has been going around the US for years. Should killer whales in seaworld be kept in captivity. Some people believe that it is inhumane and unhealthy whereas others think that it is educational for the viewers and has no negative impact on the animals. Seaworld killer whales should not be held captive. Sea world is not a safe place for the trainers much less the animals. Marine animal parks have had many cases …show more content…

SeaWorld hasn’t collected a killer whale from the wild in more than 35 years. ("Blackfish - Seaworld Bites Back") But seaworld has no intention of shutting down. Nothing is stopping them from going back to the ocean and getting more whales except for the fact that at least five countries—India, Croatia, Hungary, Chile, and Costa Rica—have outlawed all cetacean captivity.("SeaWorld's Worst Nightmare: Calif. Lawmaker to Propose Ban on Orcas in Captivity") States and Countrys everywhere are not allowing seaworld to capture animals from their oceans. That should tell you something. If a whole country is banning seaworlds captivity seaworld shouldnt be in business for their captivity. Plus, its not like the killer whale shows are the only thing at seaworld. They have plenty of rides, food vendors, and other smaller harmless animals to watch and/or feed that would still make a vacation fun for the whole
