“The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost is a poem whose literary meanings were lost with the passing of time, leaving it a rather tricky poem to decipher. In and of itself, it is a poem about life and the choices we make that affect us daily. Be it a choice made with regrets, or none whatsoever, later on we will turn back on that moment and wonder what could be different had we not made the choice we did at that point in time.
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.” (Frost, 15-20)

This story is altered by how we perceive it in our emotional state. The outcome is only different because the author left the story to us, he only provided us with the raws, we filled in the rest with our imaginations.
In the end, we can only make an assumption on this traveler's tale. Whether it is a tale of happiness or woe, that is entirely up to us. But the story remains the same, we are all on a journey to the finish, and what paths we choose to get us there are entirely dependant on us. Every choice we make now will affect us in the long run, be it a good outcome or a bad outcome, that is our own doing. Weigh each option carefully, for one day, you too will look back on this moment to ponder it, and ither sigh with content or dismay. This is a traveler's tale, this is why it is difficult for us to comprehend, because it our own thoughts personified in this story, not everyone sees life the same, that’s why not everyone can come to an agreeance on Robert Frost’s poem, we can’t all see the world through someone else's
