The Trinity and the implication for our salvation.
The doctrine of the Trinity means that there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons — the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Persons of the Trinity have separate, though never conflicting wills as they work together to bring glory to God. (Luke 22:42). Scripture speaks of the Father as God (Philippians 1:2), Jesus Christ as God (Titus 2:13), and the Holy Spirit as God (Acts 5:3–4). Yet God is the Father, Jesus Christ is the Son and the Holy Spirit is Spirit, each has Their own function, but function as a unit.

The virgin birth of Jesus Christ reveals the inter-relationships of the three Person’s of the Trinity (Horton, 2007). “The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God’’ (Luke 1:35).
The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is another exceptional illustration of the relationship of the triune God in redemption (Horton, 2007). Paul states that the Father of Jesus Christ raised our Lord from the dead (2 Cor. 1:3). Jesus Christ, however, ardently states that He would raise up His own body from the dead in resurrection glory (Horton, 2007). The apostle Paul also asserts that through the Holy Spirit God raised up Christ from the dead (Rom. 8: 11) (Horton, 2007).
Jesus Christ places the three Persons of the Godhead on the same divine level in encouraging His disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’”
